Introduction
Welcome to the "CashManger" application. Your privacy and data security are extremely important to us. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and how we ensure that your personal and financial data remains safe. By using our application, you agree to the practices described in this policy.
Definitions
- "CashManger": Refers to the CashManger mobile and desktop applications developed to manage personal and business financial transactions.
- "User": Any individual who uses the application to record, view, and track their financial transactions.
- "Data": Any information related to the user, including names, contact information, transaction details, and financial SMS information processed by the app.
- "Firebase": The secure cloud service used by the application to store user data and provide authentication and synchronization.
Eligibility
Users must be at least 18 years old to use the CashManger application.
Account Creation
To use the CashManger application, users must create an account through Firebase Authentication using an email and password. When creating an account, you may be asked to provide:
- First Name and Last Name: Used to personalize your profile within the app.
- Phone Number (optional): Used for profile identification or contact verification.
- Profile Picture (optional): Used for a personalized experience.
- Email Address: Required for login and account recovery.
- Password: Required and securely handled by Firebase Authentication.
Data We Collect
CashManger collects two main categories of data:
- Information you enter manually:
- Account names, types, and balances.
- Customer and supplier information.
- Transaction details (income, expenses, transfers, and profit records).
- Information obtained from your device with your explicit consent:
- Financial SMS messages: If you grant SMS permissions, the app can read incoming SMS from specific financial senders (for example, Vodafone Cash or supported banks) to detect deposits, withdrawals, and transfers and to confirm that these transactions were successfully processed.
- Basic device / SIM information: In some cases, we may read basic SIM-related information (such as SIM slot) to associate a financial SMS with the correct account when your device has multiple SIM cards.
We do not intentionally collect or process personal chat messages, social messages, or SMS content that is not related to financial transactions. Such messages are ignored and are not stored or uploaded by the app.
Permissions We Use and Why
The application may request certain Android permissions to provide its core functionality:
- INTERNET & ACCESS_NETWORK_STATE: Used to securely sync your data with Firebase and check network availability.
- POST_NOTIFICATIONS, WAKE_LOCK, USE_FULL_SCREEN_INTENT, RECEIVE_BOOT_COMPLETED, FOREGROUND_SERVICE: Used to deliver transaction alerts, reminders, and scheduled notifications reliably, even when the app is not in the foreground.
- RECEIVE_SMS & READ_SMS: Used only (with your explicit consent) to read financial SMS from supported senders (such as Vodafone Cash) in order to detect and confirm cash transactions and display them as notifications and entries in your transaction history.
- READ_PHONE_STATE: May be used to associate a financial SMS with the correct SIM card or account when your device has multiple SIM cards.
- USE_BIOMETRIC: Used to enable optional biometric login (fingerprint or face) to protect access to your CashManger data.
How We Use Your Data
The information we collect is used exclusively to:
- Store and organize your personal and business financial transactions.
- Display balances, transaction summaries, and reports within your account.
- Automatically detect and confirm some transactions from financial SMS (when enabled), to save time and reduce manual input.
- Sync your data securely between the mobile app and, where applicable, the CashManger Desktop application.
Financial SMS Processing
If you choose to enable SMS access and grant the required permissions, CashManger may process certain financial SMS messages on your device. For example, messages sent by Vodafone Cash or your bank that confirm deposits, withdrawals, or transfers.
- Only SMS from supported financial senders are processed. Personal SMS conversations and non-financial messages are ignored.
- Relevant details such as the amount, sender, date, and a short text snippet may be stored together with the corresponding transaction record in Firebase, in order to confirm that the transaction was completed and to show it in the in-app notification screen.
- This SMS data is used only to help you track and confirm your own financial transactions. It is not used for advertising, profiling, or market research.
You can always revoke SMS permissions through your device settings. If you do so, the core functionality of the app (manual transaction entry and management) will continue to work, but automatic detection and confirmation from financial SMS will be disabled.
Data Privacy and Ownership
Your data belongs entirely to you. Each user's information is stored under their unique Firebase account and is logically isolated from other users. Other users cannot access your data. The CashManger team does not access, view, or share your personal financial records unless you explicitly contact us and provide consent for support purposes.
Data Sharing
CashManger does not sell or share your personal or financial data with third parties for advertising or marketing. Your data may be processed only by service providers that are strictly necessary to operate the app (for example, Firebase), and only under our control and according to this Privacy Policy.
Data Storage and Security
Your data is securely stored using Firebase services and transmitted over encrypted connections (HTTPS). Firebase Authentication ensures that only you can access your account with your credentials. We do not store your password in plain text at any time.
Third-Party Services
CashManger uses Firebase services, including:
- Firebase Authentication: For secure user registration, login, and account recovery using email and password.
- Firebase Realtime Database (or other Firebase database services): To safely store your transaction records and related financial data.
- Firebase Cloud Messaging (if enabled): To deliver push notifications about transactions, reminders, or other in-app events.
We do not integrate third-party advertising SDKs or analytics SDKs for marketing purposes.
Data Analysis and Tracking
CashManger does not analyze, process, or track your data for advertising, profiling, or behavioral marketing. Any processing of your transaction data or financial SMS is strictly limited to providing the in-app features you request, such as recording transactions and confirming that they have been completed.
Error Logging
The application does not include automated crash reports or error tracking systems for marketing purposes. Any issues or bugs can be reported manually by contacting support. If we ever enable technical logs or crash reports in the future, they will be used solely to improve app stability and not for advertising.
Data Safety and Compliance
We follow Google Play policies for sensitive permissions and user data. SMS and phone-related permissions are requested only when necessary to provide core features (such as SMS-based money management and transaction confirmation) and only after obtaining your explicit consent. We do not use sensitive permissions for any hidden or unrelated purposes.
Policy Updates
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to comply with legal requirements or to improve data security and transparency. Updates will be reflected by the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. We encourage you to review this Policy periodically.
